Comments: (7/18/06) - "Nice clean stalls. Was able to spend a rainy night in my camper just outside the stable.". . .(5/15/07) - "This facility was safe and secure. On Sundays they do not clean stalls, so the stalls were dirty when we arrived. Had to clean out ourselves. There is food and lodging very close to this facility."

Comments: (9/7/03) - "Not only a fantastic boarding facility, but a great vacation spot as well. Hosts are very friendly and knowledgable. I would recommend this place to everyone!". . .(6/3/04) - "These are great folks and they will make your trip SUPER. Facilities are great and you can ride out from camp into the National Forest. You will have a pleasant stay at this facility. Highly recommend.". . .(8/17/04) - "I want to give a Big Country Thanks to Rick & Laurie, for making our Vacation 07-30-04 the best ever... I had real concerns about taking (4) our horses so far away from home, knowing that we wanted 2 ride horses, 4 wheelers and still do alittle site seeing as well. Laurie made my horses so well cared for, I had 2 make them get in the trailer when it was time to go. Actually, my whole family & neighbors that were with us all hated that our vacation had to end. The Lincoln National Forest was so beautiful and the facilities more than meeted our needs, not to mention the cool Cowboy Bar as well. Thanks again for a great time, looking forward to coming back soon.". . .(8/10/05) - "This is our Family & Friends 2nd year to go to Saul's Creek. We had talked about trying a new place, but the safety of our horses has always been my top priority. We had the best vacation ever. We rode our horses more, trying to explore just one more place, and rode 4 wheelers everywhere, up some very challenging places, yet we still made sure to go see alittle more vaiety, by visiting Silverton & lake Vallecito for fishing, and of course hot springs at Pagosa. This is truly the best place to stay to fit all of the needs for a large or small group."

With 50 years in the horse business, she really knows her stuff. She was very hospitable!". . .(2/1/03) - "Joan has taken care of my horses many times and we usually haul in late which has never been a problem with Joan. The facility is very neat and orderly. I will make it a point to stop again.". . .(10/30/03) - "Super facility/owner who provided us with fantastic service at the last minute. Wonderful sized stalls,-we were allowed to just drive up & plug in for the nite!!! Morning coffee & rolls complete with a personal send off of Godspeed topped our stay !!! Clean, well kept, secure and very easy to find even in the dark. Joanie was out to the barn a couple of times during the night to check on the horses, and still greeted Walt with a pot of coffee and fresh donuts this morning. Tell me, how does it get better than that?"

Comments: (8/9/04) - "This facility went above and beyond the call to our need. Before we arrived at Grand Junction, Colorado we had a tire blow out on the horse trailer. I called them and they came to our rescue and picked up our horses and transported them to their facility. By the time we got the chore completed, it was around 4 a.m. in the morning. They even contacted their vet for sedatives to calm our horses. These owners and their facilities are the best in my book. We could not have made it without them. I want to thank them again!". . . (7/15/04) - "Needing a rest for both horses and driver, using the website, we found Diamond Rose Ranch in Clifton, CO to be one of the best. They were able to accommodate 2 studs and 3 mares. A very nice facility and were great folks to get to know. Definitely would recommend and use Diamond Rose Ranch for anyone needing overnight accommodations for horses."(11/7/05) - "We were impressed by your attentiveness to making our overnight stay for our horses comfortable. Your place was very clean, water tank was empty so there was no stale water in the tank and clean and fresh water was conveniently available for the horses. You met us in town and brought us directly out to your place. We were very pleased and would highly recommend your place to anyone traveling with horses to stay at your stables. We thank you very much.". . .(12/13/05) - "We called late on the way through CO, and {Vonnie} met us in town to be sure we found our way to their place quickly. Since we were very tired from 18 hours of driving, both we and our horses were happy to arrive to such a warm welcome, big roomy pens and very accommodating hosts.". . .(5/31/06) - "Unfortunately, one of only a few of the horse motels on my web site that I've had the pleasure of visiting. My wife and I had a very pleasant stay. The facility is easy to find and close to I-70, the stall was safe, clean, and large, the host was most personable, and we had a nice motel and good food nearby. The host and her daughter met us for breakfast and new friendships were made. I'm pleased to have this facility listed as a horse motel on my web site. Dick Beck - Horse Motels International.". . . (6/6/06) - "{The owner} came out at Midnight to the interstate to lead Walt in to the ranch. You KNOW that makes them worth their collective weight in gold right there. The personal attention could not have been better. She knew just where everything was that he could need, and how to get him there. WHen he slept in, Vonnie was out there checking on the critters and feeding them. This is on the top of our list of stops to become regular.". . .(9/22/06) - "Great family, clean, friendly, would stay again!!!! Great feed, clean water. Fairly priced.". . .(3/12/07) - "Thank you . . . for such a nice place to overnight with our horses. We are looking forward to a longer stay so we can ride some of the trails that are so close to your ranch. Sincerely, Jean Bickers, Moab.". . .(6/2/07) - "I was absolutely thrilled that even though my day had not gone as planned and even though I pulled in to Clifton, CO at 11:00 at night, the owners were not hesitant in the least to come to town and lead us to their facilities. Not only that but I was bringing home two stallions and they did everything I wished about making them safe. I was extremely tired and nervous and I cannot thank them enough.". . .(8/28/07) - "Excellent place to stay. Nice people. Clean and easy to find. Highly recommend.". . .(11/12/07) - "We had a Richie Wingfield Horsemanship clinic at this facility and it could not have been better! The horses were fed small portions several times during 24 hours and early enough so they were ready to ride in the clinic. And the host even fixed "continental breakfast" for the riders while the horses ate their breakast. It was a great time!". . .(4/4/06) - "Great people, quality hay, easy in and out. Have been great, used now for 2 years."

What gracious hosts and a spotless facility!". . .(8/25/03) - "This was our 3rd stay and we just loved it as much as always! Ed and Arlene are the bests hosts and their place is just beautiful. Wish we had more opportunities to head to Co. Springs in order to stay over at H2!". . . (9/14/03) - "Ed and Arlene are wonderful hosts. My horses were safe, well cared for and well rested. The B&B was fantastic. Great views from our window. Great hospitality from Ed and Arlene, and a super fantastic breakfast of waffels with fresh peach sclices, homemade apple cinnamon syrup and bacon. And be sure and say "hay" to Willie, the 40 year old horse there! Highly recommend staying at the H2 ranch.". . .(8/21/06) - "Ed and Arlene provided pristine surroundings and everything is beautiful at their facility. They even provided perfect weather. All neat and tidy. My horse had a beautiful view for the night and great air. Comments: (1/14/05) - "Jerry and Carol were the greatest of assistance to us and our horses. They dealt with our delay in arrival as if it were no problem in all. Our horses absolutely loved their stay with Jerry and Carol and were treated as if they were one of Jerry and Carol's own. By the time morning came around Jerry and Carol had our horses personalities down pat and knew who was begging for more attention and who really was in need of it. We absolutely would recommend Jones Livery to anyone who is in need of a spot to keep a horse or two or five (in our case). You can't ask for better people and let me tell you Missy, Cisco, Seven, Sunny and Yukon would recommend them as well. Jerry and Carol are the absolute best people you could ask for and their facility is wonderful as well. Thanks a ton, we truly appreciate all your help!". . .(2/8/05) - "Jerry and Carol are absolutely the greatest. If you want the royal treatment for your horses this is the place to go. These people offer all you could ever want and more, the compassion they have for animals is outstanding and there aren't any two people greater. A huge thanks to them!!". . .(7/17/06) - "Very clean, modern facilty. Good directions easy to find. Hosts very accommodating and caring. A first class establishment. Highly recommended.". . .(9/3/07) - "Carol and Jerry were fantastic! I had a medical situation and Carol kindly accompanied me to the emergency room while Jerry took care of my horse. It was such a relief and greatly appreciated!". . .(9/15/07) - "Jerry and Carol were fantastic! I had a medical emergency for me and while Jerry took care of my horse, Carol accompanied me to the emergency room. It was so nice to have someone take care of my horse and me! Their facility is super!"

Comments: (7/18/07) - "Cliff and Pat Johnson have a beautiful facility. . . and were exceedingly gracious and charming hosts. Our horses were extremely comfortable in the spacious in-and-out stalls, and they got a much-needed break from our long trip across country. We enjoyed the charming bunkhouse, and had a great time on the beautiful horse trails, mountain biking, and road-biking areas nearby. Local restaurants are somewhat the typical fare (Chili's, Outback, etc) although we had a nice meal at the Winery downtown. All in all this is a highly recommended location for those traveling with their horses, and Grand Junction is a great place for those who love multi-sports!"

The Carters took extremely good care of our horses and their facilities were amazing. We stayed on the property as well and we could not have asked for better hosts or more enjoyable surroundings. We look forward to returning many times in the future. Great place and great people!". . . (9/14/04) - "Lee and Loralee have an absolutely first rate outfit. Though we had never met, we were treated like old friends. The barn and pens were top notch and immaculate. Room was private, quiet, and very comfortable. Breakfast was super, prepared to our request. The Carters' place is the benchmark for a B & B with horse facilities."

Comments: (11/29/04) - "John & Beth Craig were excellent hosts! Our mules had a safe and secure corral with plenty of water and they were within sight of the Craig's home. Both John and Beth were friendly folks with whom we had great conversation, and they fed us royally. Their home is very attractive and sits on top of a hill where windows provide miles of scenery and an open view of livestock and wildlife. We rode across their expansive pastures on a very nice trail ride prior to dinner. Every detail of their hosting was absolutely wonderful--including a nice note in our mailbox when we arrived home with a picture of us mounted on our mules at the Craig Ranch. We would recommend a stay at the Craig Ranch to anyone--whether passing through quickly or having time for both a terrific dinner and breakfast.". . .(10/16/05) - "This is a friendly western ranch b&b, very clean, very comfortable, meals are excellent. We will be returning." . . .(6/5/06) - "Craig Ranch is like a piece of heaven. The care my horses and I received was above and beyond anything that I've ever received . I will be returning again in July and will recommend them to all my friends. Beth and John Craig. helped me when my truck broke down and had all the resources to help me get it fixed. These people are truely heaven sent.". . . (7/18/07) - "Beth and John Craig have a spectacular 15,000 acre ranch in Limon, CO, and were exceedingly gracious and charming hosts. Our horses were extremely comfortable in the spacious paddock, and they got a much-needed break from our long trip across country. We enjoyed the charming room and extra amenities such as free high-speed internet, and had a great time galloping through the enormous pastures on the ranch- amazing scenery (although the deer flies were vicious). All in all this is a highly recommended location for those traveling with their horses, and we hope to return, either for a vacation in itself, or on our trip back East in a few years!". . . (7/26/07) - "I have made several reservations to stay at their ranch throughout my travels this year with my horses.". . .(7/30/07) - "Excellent!!!". . .(8/9/07) - "The Craig Ranch has, near the house, pens. {They also have}covered stalls with runs farther from the house but on the ranch. The rooms are spotless with charming antiques, the downstairs "family room" has anything you could want to read, play, watch, or access the computer. Beth's food is scrumptious and her breakfast presentations are artistic without being fussy. The ranch is huge, and consists of gorgeous rolling prairie. Truly a hunk of God's country to visit!". . . (8/11/07) - "Thank you, Beth, for a great place to stay with the horses! You are on our 'favorites' list and we hope to set up a stay with you again.". . .(9/2/07) - "We enjoyed our stay here and will stay again if our travels take us to Limon, CO. The horses were well cared for and in large pens where they were safe but could get a lot of exercise. Our room was nice and the common area had a lot to offer. Our hosts were very friendly and breakfast was good.". . .(10/19/07) - "There weren't actually stalls but the pen and covered area were clean and adequate. We would stay here again.". . .(3/21/08) - "We stayed here on our way moving from Utah to Oklahoma. The horse stalls were great, large, and clean. The beds were so comfy and the whole stay was very worth the money. We got a great nights rest as well as our horses. The breakfast was excellent. We plan to stay at the Craig Ranch anytime we are passing through.". . .(4/28/08) - "An excellent place for a layover. Will return for sure.". . .(5/20/08) - "Craig Ranch is different from the usual pretentious B&B experience in a real good way. Owners Beth and John and the nicest people, welcomed me into their home and I felt much like a member of the family. Beth keeps a spotless home and her breakfast was simply outstanding, good and hearty yet wholesome and all fresh ingredients. No Bisquick Eggos or mystery meats in her house! All in all a nice break from the bustle of life, away from the interstate and the same-as-everywhere fast food places. Would gladly stay again!". . .(6/8/08) - "We arrived late. Her Bed and Breakfast was full but we were offered a choice of hook ups or directions to hotels nearby. Very nice."

We've been there in both 2002 & 2003. The area is fantastic for sight-seeing & for wonderful riding opportunities in the high country. Try the ride to Sharkstooth Pass (over 11,000 ft) with nearby Lynn Lewis (Rimrock Outfitters, with husband Perry) as your guide!"

The horse facilities were wonderful, and Julia fed ample hay, there was some leftover when we departed. Winter Sage Ranch has it all together, and their priorities are right on. We would definitely stay over again!! Our best overnight horse experience yet!!". . .(7/18/06) - "Clean and modern facility, easy to find, friendly hosts.
