Comments: (6/17/07) - "We stayed with Leslie and Bob, going and coming back from NYC. They were really wonderful folks, and very helpful to us. Their facilities are new and extremely clean and well organized. They are only about 3 miles off of I-95. A great location, and not hard to find. I would heartily recommend their place to anyone needing lodging in the North Carolina area. I really enjoyed meeting them both, and was very impressed with their knowledge and barn facilities. They really helped me out quite a bit, and I am beholding! Thanks, Leslie and Bob!". . .(3/6/08) - "Beautiful facility! Great stalls with small self-turnouts, round pen and trails. Comments: (12/31/06) - "I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the barn. Stalls were very large and airy. The barn was new with sliding stall doors. Very easy to pull into facilities with a large horse trailer - lots of room to turn around. Only complaint is that the water supply (hose) froze overnight and the water in my trailer also froze. Most importantly though, I felt safe leaving my horse at the barn and spending the night in town at a hotel. Would recommend this horse hotel to all of my friends.".. . (1/9/07) - "I couldn't ask for a better place to lodge my horses! They were taken care of just as good as I would do myself. If I ever drive through that part of the country I will make it a point to stop at 3P ranch! Thanks so much!!! "

As usual nothing goes smoothly when travelling with horses and our arrival was hours late! She was courteous and friendly and made sure my horse was settled in and gave me directions to hotels. I have never been so grateful! I don't think I could have driven another mile!". . . (7/19/04) - "Super, nice people.". . .(4/29/05) - "Patty, Dale & Stefanie were fantastic! We were moving to Florida from New Jersey and needed a place to overnight. We had never trailered our two horses anywhere before and were very nervous about hauling my 23 year old mare such a great distance. Consequently, that was why we decided to trailer them ourselves. We arrived tired, exhausted and nervous about the entire experience, but the Nunnery's quickly made us feel right at home and our two horses settled in immediately. Patty monitored the horses carefully. I particularly appreciated receiving her monitoring card and comments the next morning (the "girls" enjoyed the treat). While the stalls were slightly smaller than expected, the personalized attention and cleanliness of the barn made up for any deficency in size. We would certainly recommend Horstel for your overnight in North Carolina.". . .(11/20/05) - "Patty and her family couldn't have been more helpful. My mare was a bit colicky on arrival and they stayed up with her most of the night while we got some sleep. These people are absolutely the best you could hope for!". . . (10/1/07) - "My teenaged daughter and I recently traveled roundtrip from FL to NY for a horse show and had the opportunity to spend the night at Patty’s both going up and coming back. It was our first long distance trip and she made it extremely easy for us by being an extremely gracious and accommodating hostess; even when we arrived very late in the evening on our return trip. Our horse’s stall was ready upon our arrival and we were given the chance to let him stretch his legs a bit in a paddock before settling him in for the evening. Much to our relief after the long hours on the road, Patty had water and electric hook-ups available for our LQ trailer conveniently located next to the barn. While sleeping peacefully in our beds, she was kind enough to check on our horse during the night, leaving a “report card” and treat on his stall door for us in the morning. I will definitely use Patty’s facility as a layover in the future when traveling north, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an overnight stop in the area."

It is quiet, surrounded by country yet close to anything you need. Multiple trail heads are near by way of a short haul. An absolutely wonderful place to relax between circuit shows or vacation as we did. Comments: (4/12/04) - "Very nice place...very accommodating...we are a traveling Medieval bird of prey show that we do on horseback. Claudia was very helpful, met us after hours and set us up..the stalls were roomy and in good shape...we hooked up our LQ on the property, and rolled out in the am. We'll be using them again!". . .(8/7/04) - "Claudia and Beth, her daughter, met me in the pouring rain when we arrived. Their barn is a huge shed building with a few stalls built within it. It was clean and dry. They had an arena for my horse to be turned out in and willingly took care of him after our arrival so I could drive over to the motel. Everything was in good condition and Beth was super friendly and helpful. Quite the young lady horse lover! The Days Inn down the road was clean and comfortable and newly painted. The front desk staff wasn't a prize. . . .The kitchen staff was thoughtful. Breakfast was a buffet right through the kitchen.". . .(11/22/05) - "Very gracious people. Comfortable for animals and humans! Would definitely stay again.". . .(1/1/06) - "After blowing out a trailer tire 50+ miles from their facility, Claudia and Beth drove up with their stock trailer, loaded in our exhausted Hanoverian, changed the tire, took us home, bedded the horse, fed us dinner, provided a lovely guest room and breakfast, took us to their mechanic for tire replacement and then drove us to a tack shop to get the necessary tire changing equipment for our trailer. They were outstanding!! I cannot thank them enough and will visit again on the return trip next year. Highly recommend them when traveling the Rte. 95 corridor.". . .(3/24/06) - "Was a great lay over spot! Dinner was ready when we arrived so we did not have to go back out. My horse was very comfey; everything was very safe for him. I would recommend adding to your list of 'Excellent Stop Overs.'". . .(5/28/06) - "Last September '05 I was relocating horses from NY to Florida and booked @ Hidden acres. Claudia helped take the stress out of the move and was very helpful in advising on local places to stay. Imagine my surprise , after spending a night in a motel, to come back and find my trailer cleaned out for the second leg of the trip...WOW! I recommend that everyone get a chance to meet Claudia and hear of her military career travels....it sure is nice to make friends along the road we often travel too quickly on...look forward to traveling back that way one day!". . .(10/15/06) - "Claudia and her daughter Beth were wonderful hosts and even stopped everything they were doing to tack up and join me for a great ride around and through tobacco fields !! ... Only wish I had planned another day or two to enjoy the great riding around the farm.". . .(5/12/08) - "Claudia was on hand as we were late and didn't arrive until 11pm, but I kept her constantly posted. She bedded the stall with straw, an unexpected pleasure and my horse was in a very safe place. The bedroom was nice and clean with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was fair, nothing special and was rather meager though well cooked. My only problem with this stop was that we had two dogs on leashes (as previously pre planned) and although she knew that her dogs were not necessarily friendly with other dogs she let them greet us with them having no leashes on and they attacked my two dogs."
