Comments: (11/25/05) - "Absolutely a wonderful experience. The McNutt's are gracious, warm people. Their place is beautiful and they could not have been more accommodating. Definitely 5 star quality accommodations for humans and horses!". . .(12/14/05) - "My blue heeler loves going there for vacation. He can exercise on the south 40 acres safely. I enjoy grooming the draft horse and the calves. Very relaxing.". . .(10/1/07) - "We arrived very late and the family helped back in both the horse trailer and the moving van we had. The cabin was amazing. It was a wonderful place to get a good night sleep and was stocked full of wonderful food. We moved from NJ to Colorado with 2 horses, 3 dogs (one sick with heart disease) and two cats. This was our first and favorite stop along the way.", , , (5/22/10) - "The hosts were extremely friendly. Our horses loved the farm. They had pastures and a barn to themselves. Cabin was very rustic in its charm. As a gift our host took amazing pictures of our horses and gave them to us.". . . (11/30/12) - "I recently bought a Belgian in the Amish country, and I made reservations to rest overnight at McNutt Farm II on the way home to North Carolina. (Found it through this site, and thanks.) This visit turned out to be a highlight of our trip! My horse had a safe, spacious, grassy paddock (a stall was also available had we needed it), and my traveling companion and I had comfortable accommodations right next to the paddock, with facilities to prepare our breakfast. Ms. Patty McNutt has a lifetime of experience with horses and teaching horsemanship, and she was also very cordial and welcoming. We ended up staying an extra day to rest, visit, and see the farm, lovely cows and working dogs before our long drive home. This facility is the perfect combination of safe, businesslike, welcoming, and beautiful. Highly recommended.". . . (6/18/13) - "Nice rustic accommodations in a beautiful setting. Plenty of room for horses and goats! Friendly host, thank you!"

(8/15/13) - "I want to shout out with a hearty thank you to Jim and the wonderful folks who stay at his barn. We needed a 3 hour stop over to rest the horses on a long haul and this was just the haven we were looking for. Friendly, clean, calm. I will definitely return and recommend whole heartedly. Jim, please give Ed my email address in case he wishes to sell that TWH Mare! Shelagh.". . . (7/16/15) - "Jim Agner was great. We pulled in last night to off-load horses; everything was great. This morning, starting at 6am, one filly would not load. Jim helped us all day to get her loaded and Jim finally got her at 3 pm today. His patience and understanding was so great and over and beyond. Thank you, Jim and family. Highly recommend this horse motel."

(5/21/10) - "WHAT A GREAT PLACE - STAY HERE!! I would board my horse here permanently if I lived close enough. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more helpful; clean facility and very accommodating. The door to my horse trailer blew off one day enroute from MD to CO - this was the first stopping point and they helped us rig the door back on to continue our trip....I'd highly recommend this Horse Motel!". . . (6/15/10) - "Very beautiful and secure facility. Terry was great. Made us feel right at home. Not too far from lodging and food. Would board our horses here again!". . . (6/18/10) - "This place was a welcome stop in the middle of a 17hr drive. I liked it so much that I overnighted there on the way back through. The facility was meticulous and Joyce was gracious and fun. It couldn't have gone better- everything was easy peasy.". . . (10/25/10) - "We arrived late at night and Terrance and Joyce were very understanding, and some of the nicest people we've ever met. Beautiful ranch, very clean and safe with easy access from interstate 90 and only a few minutes from hotels. We will stay again in the future. I highly recommend Maple Crest Farms; it's a first class ranch.". . . (5/7/11) - "I've stayed at Maplecrest 2x per year travelling through. Terry and Joyce are wonderful people. My horses feel at home here.". . . (8/11/11) - "Fantastic facility and wonderful hosts. Our host met us in the driveway upon arrival, I was offered the use of a round pen, given the option of a stall for the night or letting my horse stay in the outdoor arena for some much needed leg stretch time(which I chose). A freshly cleaned water trough was supplied and I was offered hay if I needed it. I would highly recommend this farm to any traveler.". . . (11/9/11) - "Joyce and Terry and their facility are amazing. I would highly recommend staying here. It is one of the best facilities I have ever stayed at while traveling. Great Job!". . . (7/25/14) - "Joyce and her staff at Maple Crest Farms were so very accommodating to us as weary travelers and to our horse. The room/suite we rented from Joyce was PERFECT and right on the premises so we could be close to our horse. Everything was prepared for us. We were so comfortable we spent more time than intended the next morning just enjoying the property and visiting with Joyce! What a pleasure. We can't recommend Maple Crest Farms enough. If you are traveling across the country from mid-America out east to upstate New York be sure to stay with Maple Crest Farms. You won't be disappointed. Thank you, Joyce. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.". . . (9/12/14) - "Very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this facility. We had a very late arrival and it was no problem.". . . (7/6/15) - "We had a great experience and this was our first layover with horses. We did a layover with a horse we were transporting at the request of the client. The stalls and paddocks were ready when we arrived with clean, fresh water and bedding. The room was cozy with comfy beds and the shower was amazing!! Thanks so much to Jay for meeting us in the very wee hour of the morning and for being so pleasant about it. This is a fabulous location to stay overnight with your horses. I highly recommend it and cannot say enough good things about it!!!". . . (7/25/15) - "Our horse was very happy to be in a paddock to stretch her legs and we were happy to be able to stay close to her and have facilities for us to clean up and sleep. Also the pizza delivery was great as well. It was a pleasure meeting our hosts.". . . (8/5/15) - "What a great, clean, professional facility. Extremely friendly people, nice stalls and turn out pastures, big pull in and turn around. We are 63 ft. long with truck n trailer and it was easy to maneuver. Thank you Very and Joyce Moyer for everything!". . . (4/27/16) - "Super friendly hosts, awesome facilities. Staying here is one less worry when planning that long haul. The on-site hotel room for owners was fantastic (located close to your horses). If traveling that way again cross country, wouldn't hesitate to stop again, Thanks.". . . (8/9/16) - "Joyce Meyer was great. Her facility was and easy to get into and out of. We will stay with her again. No problems at all.". . . (8/30/17) - "We contacted Joyce and Terry prior to our roundtrip to Wayne, IL from New York for accommodations for our horse and ourselves. What a great choice we made. The amenities were perfect for both our horse and us. Terry and Joyce are the most down to earth, pleasant individuals you'll ever meet. I hope we some day have the opportunity to stay with them again."

Comments: (7/11/14) - "Loved this place; staff was very friendly. We booked last minute and they were able to accommodate us. Would definitely stay again.". . . (10/5/14) - "This is the only horse hotel that has been open 24 hours and has been willing to help me at any time of the day. Buff and Marcia are the nicest folks I have met in a very long time. I chose this stable over the others because of their warm, friendly greetings and how nice they were on the phone. I would definitely come back to this place again. It has beautiful pastures, decent size stalls, water ready for you in your stall when you arrive, and they feed for you in the morning as well. There is a large parking area. This place is awesome!". . . (10/18/14) - "Fantastic facility - extremely outgoing, nice, and accommodating owners. Large, paved driveway. Very easy to navigate my 38' LQ trailer. Highly recommend!!". . . (9/16/17) - "I arrived late at night. She was there to meet me and let me stay in her personal horse trailer with live in quarters with my dogs. I was nervous about leaving them plus with 2 dogs it is hard to get a hotel room. And she let me use the shower. I cannot say enough good things; it was a great experience."

Comments: (3/7/13) - "As transporters we see lots of horse motels. We got the pleasure of staying at The Hay Bale Inn due to a truck breakdown. We were stranded on the side of hiway 80 with a loaded trailer. Jeannie and John jumped in there truck and drove over 45 minutes to tow our trailer back to their beautiful facility where they helped unload and settle the horses in. John was gracious enough to take us to a local motel and each time we went out to check on the horses no matter what tine of day or night we were greeted by both John and Jeannie. They constanlty checked the horses water buckets and turned them out in the round pens for sone exersise. Huge stall and clean barn. We hope to be in the area for an overnight again under better circumstances. Thank you!". . . (11/11/14) - "We can't recommend this facility enough! John and Jeanie were wonderful and so incredibly helpful. My paso gelding was treated as if he was one of their own and, honestly, I never gave it a second thought, leaving him to go to our housing for the evening. This is a perfect place for those traveling from any distance to trail ride in the area and/or show. Great location as well and EXACTLY as described. Hope to be back this summer!". . . (2/6/15) - "We have been coming to the facility since our breakdown 2 years ago. Two incredible grooms quarters have been added so owners can stay at the facility with their horses. The feeling we get each and every time we pull in is of being home. John and Jeanne are ALWAYS waiting for us out front to help unload and tuck the horses in. They now have a beautiful Facebook page which shows how beautiful their facility truly is. Thank you for always having such a clean facility and for making our experiences enjoyable and fun :)". . . (4/19/15) - "As several others have said here, these folks are wonderful. Their place is clean and comfy for both horse and human, and I get the feeling that they'd do anything necessary to take care of either. Thanks so much, Jeannie & John.", , , (11/29/15) - "Thanks so much for hosting us and the arrival of various family members from the area. We would definitely stay here again if the occasion should arise.". . . (7/1/16) - "John & Jeannie were excellent hosts. They were both super friendly and helped us unload. When we unloaded after a long drive, they had a nice big paddock that we could let our horse have a bit of time to exerise. Stalls were clean and big. They had accommodations for us on site. The "grooms" quarters were clean and tidy and allowed for a quick departure in the morning. "Human" food was a five minute drive away. Overall, this was a great experience and our hosts were more than helpful. Highly recommended! We would definitely stay again.". . . (8/30/16) - "Wonderfully gracious hosts, a big clean thickly bedded stall, a large turnout area. I can't say enough nice things about The Hay Bale Inn! HIGHLY recommend!!"

Perfect place, perfect location, PERFECT! Thank You Todd!". . .(12/7/07) - "Safe facilities. Extremely accommodating host. I highly recommend this horse motel.". . .(5/30/08) - "Excellent. We arrived later than expected but that was no problem. Vvery friendly and courteous people. Would recomnend this as a place to stay. Clean and easy access.". . . (3/6/10) - "Very nice folks, very nice facility, three miles from Lake Erie. It seemed to be a very safe and secure location. Toby and his assistants were very helpful and took good care of our four horses. Less than 10 minutes off I-90 at exit 212. Toby called me and made sure I had good directions to his stable.". . . (7/19/15) - "Toby met us at 3am after a very long hauling day. Our 19 hand Percheron "Doc" fit very well in the farms stall. We were very pleased with everything about Docs stay here!! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this facility. Thank you again Toby and family!!". . . (7/4/16) - "This place couldn't have been better, Toby & Chris were so helpful and friendly. The paddocks and stalls were perfect; the place was clean and nice to stay at. We stayed twice in our two very large living quarter trailers. Had pizza delivered to our trailers and had a great time. It's just a few minutes off I-90. A great place to stop for the night!". . . (7/24/16) - "On our way back to Canada from Colorado and needed a place to stop over. Very nice place. We were travelling with an injured horse and needed a bit of special care. Toby was very helpful and was willing to help us out as needed. A little drive off the highway, but very nice setting and facility. Recommended!!". . . (6/16/17) - "I can't say enough on how nice and accommodating these folks are. We plan on staying again when we travel out west. Jeff and Melody Blittersdorf.". . . (8/30/17) - "Visited Shillelagh Farm on 8/16/17. Were very happy with the barn setup for our horse. There was room to drop our trailer (2 horse) for the night along with another 2 horse that was traveling with us. No major hotel chains nearby, but we found a very nice B&B called the Lost Pearl that was located about 3 miles away from the barn. Didn't seem like there were a ton of restaurant choices and we had to take a 20 minute drive to get to a gas station that had diesel. But would still use this barn again."

Comments: (6/8/17) - "Audrey and Tony are fabulous hosts! They kindly provided clear directions when Google-maps wanted us to go ridiculously far out of the way. They went above and beyond what's reasonable to ensure our old horse was comfortable with a large stall and huge turnout in an arena. They graciously allowed us to leave one car and trailer at their place. They checked on the horse through the night and let us know he had settled in well and seemed happy. They are friendly, generous, and helpful beyond belief. There is a circular drive to make turning around a snap, and everything is clean and well-maintained. If you're looking for a safe, clean, comfortable lodging for your horse, you can't do better than Worchester's. Will definitely stay here again if we come through Cleveland with our horse!"

Comments: (6/19/15) - "Fantastic place to let your horse rest! Shirley is wonderful, stalls are big, clean and in amazing condition!". . . (7/11/15) - "Immaculate facilty. Photo looks like an old barn...nope...it is a new facility that is top notch. Very friendly owner.. would stay here again anytime we pass by.". . . (8/11/15) - "It doesn't get any better than this place! Health papers checked upon arrival; stalls ready and waiting; barn was immaculate; easy parking; close to freeway; RV plugs. Perfect.". . . (9/24/15) - "Shirley's overnight facility is super clean and safe for horses; all the details designed to make life easy for the traveler. Nice pasture for our horse to stretch/relax in & easy for our large rig to turn around and hookup for the night, too. Shirley was a wonderful host! Highly recommend.". . . (10/22/15) - "Shirley was very accommodating. I was traveling with my stallion and another 2 year old colt so we needed a stall without mares next to my stallion. Shirley made sure to allow for that. Her place is easy to get to and to navigate in and out of with a trailer and there's plenty of hotels close by. Overall, our experience was great and I highly recommend this motel! :)". . . (2/19/16) - "Stayed on site overnight; nice and quite there. Excellent condition, so clean. But no toilet at time of my visit 2/20/16. Great service.". . . (3/23/16) - "My daughter is so selective about where her horse stays and she was very happy with Plattsburg Equine Center. Shirley Mann was waiting outside the barn when we arrived and made us feel welcome. The horse's stall was clean and ready. Shirley even had directions printed out for us to our destination the next day. We will definitely be back when our travels bring us to this area.". . . (6/8/16) - "Shirley was phenomenal! We had one that just wouldn't unload. Shirley went above and beyond helping us with this mare. She was patient and understanding even though the hour was getting late. Highly recommend this facility to anyone traveling with horses!!". . . (6/29/16) - "Beautiful spot. We would live there if we had the choice! Hostess was very friendly and accommodating to our needs.". . . (7/30/16) - "Shirley was so accommodating. The facility was the best horse motel that we have been to.". . . (11/30/16) - "Shirley was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Her facility was immaculate and safe. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to spend a cold, blustery November night. Thank you Shirley.". . . (6/6/17) - "I made advance reservations with Shirley to layover with 2 horses on our way to CO. The farm was exactly what it looked like in the pictures, and was very neat and clean. Shirley met us at the gate with a welcoming smile. The horses quickly settled in their stalls for the night. Shirley met us again in the morning, and made sure we knew we were welcome to stop back again. On our return trip, we did stay at Shirley's with 7 horses. I hadn't expected to stop in so soon, but she made us feel at home and I knew the horses would be happy and safe. I would absolutely recommend Plattsburg Equine Center for layover!!". . . (7/18/17) - "First rate layover - highly recommend. Barn and stalls immaculate and organized. No worries leaving horses here. Good circle turn around. Easy to spot from road. Our plans changed several times and we arrived after midnight. Despite the changes and late hour, Shirley was on hand to meet us with a smile - she loves what she does and is fabulous at it! Very accommodating - not only re the late arrival but also our pony was traveling alone so she had brought other horses in the barn which was above and beyond. We stayed at the Red Roof Inn which is a great place for big rigs (open parking for tractor trailers out front and well lit for safety). Will definitely stop here again.". . . (7/30/17) - "Super clean and the owner was very friendly and took excellent care of my horse. Would be very likely to stay here again."

(8/22/06) - "I travel across the country to the Parelli Learning Center in Pagosa Springs, Colorado from Pennsylvania and on my way undoubtedly my favorite spot to stop is Surecare Farm. The owners, Barb and Scott, are hospitable, extremely friendly and their quaint and clean overnight rooms are matched by the quiet ambiance and the facilities for the horses are very nice. I look forward to my visit year after year.". . .(8/22/07) - "Surecare is awesome! Scott and Barb run a great overnight, our horses did not want to get caught when it was time to leave, they liked it so much in the paddock. Cute, very quiet apartment to stay in with the horses just outside the window. Very easy to find from the highway too.". . .(8/23/07) - "Scott is a great host! It's easy to find and even though they had to make some special arrangements for us -- the horses were happy and comfortable and so were we! It'll be one of my regular stops on my annual trek.". . .(9/9/08) - "I stayed here to and from my trip to Nebraska. Barbara and Scott made me feel right at home the minute I pulled in the driveway. My horse loved rolling in the round pen after a long day in the trailer. Very clean and safe place to stay. You bring the stories and the jokes, Scott and Barb will bring the coffee.". . . (6/30/09) - "Barb and Scott were friendly and accommodating. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend them!". . . (9/29/09) - "I stayed at Surecare Farm for the 2nd year in row on my way to and from Nebraska. This year another rig followed me and there was no problem with Barb and Scott handling the 2nd rig. I won't elaborate but, once again, Barb and Scott went above and beyond. If I haul my Paint to Nebraska next year I'll surely stop at Surecare Farm. Thanks for everything, Barb and Scott.". . . (9/24/09) - "Scott and Barb were wonderful hosts and had prepared for our arrival. Their farm is beautiful and well maintained with plenty of space to manuever a big horse trailer. I stayed in their bungalow on the property and it was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend Surecare without hesitation to anyone traveling through Ohio with horses. Robert Frost, September 22, 2009.". . . (9/21/10) - "Safe, secure and easy to get to. Barbara and Scott are great hosts. Stop at Surecare Farm and you and your horse will love it.". . . (9/4/11) - "Barb and Scott were extremely friendly and made us feel right at home; there was plenty of room to park our trailer and easy in & out. The room/bathroom was bright and extremely clean. Would highly recommend this facility for layovers.". . . (3/28/12) - "I highly recommend staying here. We felt very welcomed as soon as we got there and straight away knew our horses were going to be safe and happy in their accommodation. It had felt like we're a part of the family and couldn't ask for nicer, warmer people to stay with. Thankyou so much and I know where we will be staying in the future in that area.". . . (8/19/13) - "We were more than happy with our stay at Surecare Farm. This farm has everything you need for a comfortable night's stay for you and your horse. We would definitely stay again, and highly recommend to others trying to decide on the right 'horse motel.'". . . (7/25/15) - "We appreciate the availability that they had for us and also checking with us as we were not sure if we were coming back to their place. Awesome place.". . . (5/12/17) - "Barb was very accommodating, even with a late arrival, and the apartment was already for me to get into. Water was in the round open for me and all was pleasant and secure. I so appreciate being able to stay there after a long day at the Trails Symposium in Dayton, OH."
