Comments: (8/8/09) - "We spent 1 night at Big Cabin and our stay could not have been better. The facilities were excellent, very clean, the stalls were large and each had a turnout area behind the stall. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We were confronted with a storm (60 mile an hour winds) on I-44 and Sandy walked me through it giving me updates on the weather condition ahead. She ordered food for us at a local truck stop, met us at the gate (10:30 at night), helped us get our horses settled in and get us settled in. She even called the next day to see if we had arrived home safley. She and her husband are wonderful people and I highly recommend Big Cabin to anyone needing a place to stay between Joplin, MO and Tulsa, OK.". . . (8/19/09) - "We had a wonderful time at Sandy's horse motel. She and her husband went out of their way to make us comfortable. I would stay there again if I were on the road. Very nice and clean facilities, for the horses as well as our room. I had a broken leg at the time we stayed there and they were very helpful to make sure I didn't fall.". . . )9/4/09) - "Sandie and her husband were so helpful and understanding. I was on my way to their facility with 2 kids and a 33 year old horse when I was caught in a twister. This caused me to bunk down sooner than I wanted. I called Sandie and let her know what happened and she understood. The next day I was able to stop at big cabin and Sandie and her husband were so nice. My horse was able to run in the arena while I took a nap in the office. So, If you plan on traveling, stop in and say hi; you wont regret the stop.". . . (11/3/09) - "Very nice couple & beautiful property. They do competitive mounted shooting & it was great fun to watch.". . . (5/17/10) - "My son is attending College in Odessa Texas. He is on the Rodeo team. He travels from Texas to Indiana twice a year. Being from Indiana, Big Cabin, Oklahoma is about the half way point. Sandy and James Duke are super people. The facility is first class. Easy access from the interstate. I know whenever we are heading to Texas we will stop there. I would recommend this stop to anyone.". . . (6/23/10) - "James and Sandy were awesome! My trailer broke down at the Big Cabin exit. They came and picked up my horses, myself and my dogs. It was a long week dealing with trailer issues, but they were very supportive and bent over backwards to make my stay enjoyable. Couldn't have a more wonderful place to be during very stressful times!". . . (3/13/11) - "Wonderful people, great facility, guest rooms were better than most hotels, horses got a good nights rest in a clean stall and run. Will stay again!". . . (5/23/11) - "Sandy and James were tremendously helpful in all aspects of our stay. When the weather turned bad, they allowed us to stay extra days until it cleared so we could travel safely. Their ranch is beautiful and well maintained. I would come back here in a minute.". . . (5/24/11) - "I recently spent 3 nights @ the Big Cabin Horse Motel (Duke Ranch). I'm at a loss for words because my ENTIRE stay was AMAZING! The Duke Ranch is beautiful, clean, safe & the Dukes are so kind to open their home and facilities to out of town guests. I did not travel with horses on this occassion, but was in town for my daughter's graduation and I am so glad I chose their facility. I plan to stay with them again the next time I visit Oklahoma.". . . (7/29/11) - "Thank you so much for letting us stay at your ranch. You are all so welcoming and your facilities are really nice. If I am coming this way again with my horses I will definitely be back. Wish we could've stayed longer; it would have been great to hear more about your mounted shooting and how your father is in the Cowboy Hall of Fame. Sorry we had to leave so early this morning but it's the only way we'd make it back to Michigan before nightfall. Hope you have a great rest of your summer and thank you again for the bnurgers on Thursday; they were very good. We really appreciate your hospitality.". . . (11/7/11) - "I stayed here when traveling from Michigan to Texas to drop one horse off and to pick up another horse. The facilities were awesome; loved the large stalls and the walk out pen attached to the back of the stall. The room was very nice as well and we enjoyed our stay there. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it.". . . (11/21/11) - "I needed a ten-day stopover between competitive trail rides in Missouri and Oklahoma and the Dukes were the most accommodating hosts I have ever met. My two Arabians were given a 4-acre pasture to rest and run in, and I had electric hookup and water for my living quarters rig. I cannot say enough good things about the Dukes. I would highly recommend them.". . . (2/27/12) - "Was very grateful to have the opportunity for my horses to stay in a pasture. The accommodations were perfect after a long day haul. Very helpful and friendly people. What a lovely find! Will definitly stay there next time I come through.". . . (7/29/14) - "Wonderful facility with amenities for horse and human. We also had our dogs and they were welcome. Had originally planned to stay and rest the day but stayed overnight. Bunk facilities were excellent with an incredible view . Went into town and did a little shopping. Terrific BBQ restaurant! Picturesque country. We hope to be back this winter on our way out west."

Comments: (5/5/10) - "Mossy Rock is a very nice place with a roomy apartment or suite. Robert & Delores were very friendly & helpful. Even offered to help load the horse if needed. We were welcomed with homemade cookies & a dessert made expecially for me. (without dairy products). Breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend Mossy Rock Guest Ranch.". . . (7/1/13) - "I can NOT say enough good things. This place is so amazing. It is a little bit of heaven, especially for a weary traveler. We stopped here on our move across country, one horse . . . . and 5 people. We were held up from the get go with car troubles but Dolores and Robert were the calm at the end of the phone line and even 2 days late and lost they were there to greet us and settle us and our horse in. The kitchens in the suite as well as the cabin were perfect to prepare a quick dinner for my vegetarian family and the breakfast Dolores prepared was all without meat and absolutely wonderful. Gourmet all the way!!! I hope to someday come back just to hang!"

Comments: (7/14/02) - "E.J. came to the interstate to show us in, at about 11:30pm. We spent 2 days there and had a great time. He and his family are excellent hosts. E.J. and I spent a lot of time together - rode on his ranch - played in his round pens - petted his animals. I wish to stay with him again and am proud of finding a new friend. He is what I would describe a real cowboy to be.". . .(1/19/03) - "Came and got us so we could follow him to place. My horse was so relaxed and happy with surroundings he was laying down when I went to load him the next morning. He only did this at two other places on our two week trip.". . . (7/2/03) - "Our 2 horses were not happy on this cross-country move. Upon leaving the morning after they stayed, my mare would not load into the trailer. E.J. offered to help and spent a long time with her; she finally loaded - his help was so appreciated! He and his whole family could not have been more accommodating and friendly!. . .(4/16/04) - "My Mom, Dad and I stayed at this place twice last year. Our stay was wonderful. The Roberts are the friendliest hosts you can ever meet. The facilities are nice. I highly recommend this place!". . .(12/16/04) - "Good horse facility. My PLUS was that an RV electrical hookup was on the property just far enough for perfect privacy. It was a few miles off the main hwy. (I-40), but worth the trip. Friendly folks.". . .(12/28/04) - "Great place to overnight. We stay here all the time and they treat you the same every time. I highly recommend them.". . .(5/4/06) - "The hosts were terrific--we had a flat tire on the highway, so didn't arrive till 3:30 am. They were very understanding, and very helpful the next morning in finding a shop to replace the tires and so forth.". . .(9/21/07) - "Once again we'll be using Jr's place to travel from Santa Fe, NM to Tennessee. Our 4th stay. RV hookup is perfect on the property.". . . (4/26/09) - "We have a 40 foot motorhome with a two horse drag trailer and there was plenty of room. They had 10 30amp hook ups. Pens were large and safe. EJ, wife, and grand daughter were great people and a lot of fun to talk with. We will stay at Cedar Hill Ranch any chance we get. If you want to be around a down home place give them a try.". . . (5/7/09) - "I wish I could say I met the Roberts, as niether one was home the the whole night. His apology came on the telephone as he was directing me to his place. Told me to put my horse anywhere I wanted. The barn was clean. The dogs were good company! I think I fell in love with OK at your place. Thanks.". . . (11/3/09) - "I'd like to say that E.J. and his family are outstanding, down to earth people. They were more than friendly and took great care of my Mustang. It's a great cowboy atmosphere , with beautiful views and a very clean ranch. I will definitely use him agin when I travel. Thanx for the great experience, E.J., and your daughter is the fiestiest cowgirl in the west. And also, thanx for the great tips when my mustang hurt his hock.. best wishes, yhall. Brandy Wolford Gibson.". . . (7/26/10) - "E. J. and Faye's facility was extremely clean. They were friendly hosts with well-kept pens, both covered and uncovered, for the horses. We personally recommend use of the their facility and plan to visit there again when we are on the way through the area.". . . (10/28/10) - "Just overnite, arrived at dusk and out by 8am, Good place. We had the outside runs; no rain in sight. Easy access, just a few miles off the interstate, plenty of room for our big rig. Friendly and helpful host.". . . (12/18/10) - "EJ is a true horseman and we will be forever grateful for the assistance with our problem loader, who now loads beautifully. Thanks for a great stay. The Hampton Inn nearby was very nice. While they don't accept pets they do have a kennel available at the hotel.". . . (2/3/11) - "EJ you are a true saint. We stayed a night at EJ's Ranch after going through a horrendous winter storm. He waited up real late for our arrival. Set us up with stalls water and thawed out our frozen water buckets. Would recommend the Cedar Hill Ranch to anyone. You were a life saver EJ and thanks to Faye for guiding us to your place. All the best and thanks for the superior service and support as distressed mariners. Thanks from the Canadians from Ontario.". . . (4/21/12) - "Hey EJ; thanks for putting us up again in April. Great place to stop at during our long trips from Ontario to Arizona and return. Have a great summer and see you again in NOV. Bryan & Carol Turner from Ontario Canada.". . . (9/12/12) - "Lovely hosts! We're Australian and got lost and they even drove into town to find us! Lovely safe high yard, lights on so you could check on your horse. Very clean. GREAT! Will be coming back again! Colleen Kelly.". . . (3/13/13) - "EJ met us in town due to a detour for road work. Great end of road setting-very quiet, clean and easy to get around.". . . (10/28/13) - "Great stay, clean stalls, nice rig area for camper/horse trailer. Helpful host. See you this late fall for our trip to Arizona.". . . (11/9/13) - "Thank you EJ for a wonderful stop over again. Will see you on the return run. I will send you info about AZ. You have to come on down; you and the wife would love it. Thanks again. Later. Bryan & Carol, Ontario Canada.". . . (12/31/13) - "We overnighted our 3 horses here on our journey from Michigan to Arizona. Hosts were friendly, horse corrals/stalls were large and safe. Only downside was finding a nearby motel that would accept our 3 large dogs. If you are traveling with a LQ trailer there are nice hookups on site.". . . (3/26/14) - "Great Place, lots of room for rigs, host is very friendly and helpful. Thank you.". . . (4/9/14) - "E.J. is very friendly and accommodating. He helped us put our horses up and filled their water barrels. We stayed there on our way to Missouri and the return trip home to California. Thank you E.J.". . . (6/14/14) - "Great place, great host. Meet and greet was more than great and the over night site for my RV had everything you could want. I would recommend this ranch to anyone traveling. Fuel station one mile away and open 24 hours. E.J. is a horse person and knows what we need when traveling. A true 12 out of a possible 10."

Comments: (5/29/13) - "We stayed overnight at the Rockin D Ranch at the end of April. Crystal was very friendly and made us feel right at home leaving our horses there overnight. The weather was bad that night, and Crystal was flexible and let us keep our horses inside in stalls rather than outside like we had originally planned. She also recommended a vet for our cat and allowed our horses to stay a little bit longer the next morning while we got the cat looked after. Her place was clean and well maintained and we felt very comfortable there.". . . (5/25/14) - "Very pretty place, easily accessible, very well maintained and Crystal is very courteous and knowledgeable. The facility is well equipped for anyone that might need to stay for more than one or two nights, they even had a large lighted round pen and a very nice lighted indoor arena. The Rockin D would be my choice of place to stay anytime I'm going through there again."

Comments: (4/1/09) - "Claude is a great host. He has probably forgotten more about horses than most of us will ever know. This is now a regular stop for us when we travel from Texas to Arkansas.". . . (7/9/10) - "I was so impressed with Claude and Pat Lively, their facility, their hospitality, and most importantly their knowledge and years of experience in the horse business. My husband & I are relocating to Oklahoma from Ohio, and a safe, clean facility for my two horses was paramount to us. Well, we found it at C&P...huge pastures with wonderful grass, a sand riding area with very good footing, 2 round pens, spacious/safe stalls, 24-hour access for our horses. Their horses look terrific, and I feel confident that our two will be taken care of with much "TLC." We are blessed to have met the Lively's.". . . (6/27/11) - "Talk about going "above & beyond" - the Lively's are a little off the beaten path, but a beautiful ranch overlooking Eufaula Lake; wish we had more time to admire the view! First of all, they graciously talked us in, even meeting us at the end of their road to escort us in late at night, & helping change a trailer flat in the morning.". . . (9/23/11) - "Claude and Pat were EXCEPTIONAL hosts. I spent two weeks with my two horses at their facility and felt like I was a part of their family. I never had to worry about my horses being safe, fed, or well cared for under their supervision. Claude "The Horse Whisperer" was absolutely amazing. His wealth of knowledge was boundless. You could not leave your horses in better hands. I appreciated them driving to one of my Barrel Races to watch my horses perform. Thank you much.". . . (11/29/11) - "We enjoyed our stay with Claude and Pat. Claude is an expert on horse care. He assisted with our horses and provided great travel advice along with additional lighting to load pre-dawn. Both Pat and Claude are superior hosts. We will stay with them several times per year."

Comments: (10/23/12) - "We highly recommend this horse motel - it was the best one we stayed at during a five-day cross-country trip. We thoroughly enjoyed talking with Sheri & would have been happy to chat with her for hours. Our four horses were comfortable & we stayed in the motel which was also clean & comfortable & conveniently located a quarter mile away. Access from the interstate highway is easy & the entire community appears to be trailer friendly. We genuinely look forward to staying at the Pretty Pony Ranch again.". . . (1/29/14) - "Awesome communications and very friendly hostess. The ranch was the tidiest and most organized ranch I've seen. Top-notch facility and easy on/off freeway. I would suggest lodging in Roland rather than Muldrow which is a short distance east on I-40. You will not be disappointed in your stay here. Everything from Zebras to Olympic horses have lodged here on their journeys."

Comments: (Editor's Comments: Due to the large amount of feedback we have received on this facility, all of it positive, we've posted only the more recent comments. We thank everybody who has sent in so many nice comments.)
(1/14/08) - "We got to stay within walking distance of the horse. He got a stall and a run. He enjoyed the run after having been stalled for 10 days. The rooms were very cozy and everything was clean and neat. They were very warm and inviting.". . .(4/24/08) - "Very wonderful place - easy to find - large stalls - comfortable human quarters! Definitely will return if passing through again!". . . (3/5/09) - "Thank you Donna and Kenny for a great place for weary travelers! After our accident in California you and your peaceful accommodations were just what all of us needed. Horse, dogs and humans! We all appreciate the opportunity to meet you both and rest at your WONDERFUL little bit of heaven! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!". . . (4/26/09) - "After being in the trailer for 12+ hours, {we thought} the large stalls with runs were great, and everything was set up and ready for the horses. The room in the barn is great. Comfy bed, very clean and close to my horses. I would definitely stay here again.". . . (10/16/09) - "This is a great place to stay at.". . . (12/15/09) - "The Robinson's were extremely nice, accommodating and just plain wonderful! It was freezing cold and they stayed out in the weather with us until we were all settled in....everything was GREAT!". . . (12/21/09) - "We loved our stay. We were exhausted from many days of travel, relocating 1,700 miles. They were really there for us. Everything was wonderful, clean and the humans, dogs and horses loved it. We look forward to our next stay.". . . (2/20/10) - "Accommodations were very cozy and comfortable. Ken and Donna were very nice. My horse, dog, and I had a very restful night. I would definitely stay there again when passing through Oklahoma.". . . (3/6/10) - "Very nice folks, very nice facility. It seemed to be a very safe and secure location. The Robinsons were very helpful and took good care of our four horses. For anyone going to Tinker AFB or downtown Oklahoma City this facility is very close and very convenient.". . . (6/14/10) - "Thanks. Very friendly and accessible facility. Great stalls and facilities for humans.". . . (12/27/10) - "It was a great stay. The Robinson's were very helpful and nice during my stay. They made my horses and me very comfortable. Thanks Guys.". . . (6/3/11) - "We and our colt had a very nice stay at the Robinsons facility. They were super hosts, and our horse was relaxed and comfortable. Highly recommeded to all! Thanks again Kenn and Donna!". . . (1/10/12) - "The Robinsons were very nice and welcoming! Their facility was nice and clean. It was very convenient to be able to sleep right there on site with my horses and all my critters that came across country with me on my big move from California to North Carolina. My party ended up taking both rooms rooms for the night, which were very comfortable and clean... Way better than any of the hotels that are "pet-friendly".". . . (4/18/12) - "Wonderful people and place!". . . (9/21/12) - "This was the perfect facility to meet my needs. The guest rooms are located in the barn directly across the aisle from the horse stalls -- what more could a true horse person want?! Even though I arrived somewhere around 9:30 at night, Donna was right there to meet me and help me take my things to my room. I was meeting an equine transport driver who was delivering my new horse and the location was extremely convenient to myself and the transport driver (just blocks off the Interstate). Don't know if I'll ever go that way again, but if I do I would stay at Barn - Bed & Breakfast again.". . . (10/11/12) - "Donna was there to greet me when I arrived. Kenn and Donna were both around during the early evening to answer any questions. Kenn was very helpful in the morning when I had problems loading my horse. I would stop again.". . . (4/7/13) - "Thank you for the warm welcome at the end of a long day! Really appreciate the shower! Need a bigger hot water tank though for multiple showers. Thank you.". . . (5/20/13) - "Anyone traveling with horses....don't hesitate staying here. Great place...for you and especially your horse.". . . (6/18/13) - "Kenn & Donna were really friendly greeting us and settling us into their nice large stalls with runs, and kennel for the dogs and goats. Very pleasant stay, thank you!". . . (7/13/13) - "We found this place while looking for a rest stop from NC. to NM. Donna & Ken met us at the front door & helped get the horses stalled & hook up the trailer. The stalls were big with good turn outs, fresh well water, & the shavings felt like a foot deep. Also stayed on return trip home. Bath house was great & very clean as well as the barn. The Robinsons are very friendly & helpful. I needed air in a tire & Donna got out the hose for me to pump it up. You won't find a better place to rest yourself & horses. I will stay there again. Randy Franklin, NC.". . . (8/29/13) - "Clean for the humans and the horse. The AC worked great. Everything was handy. It's small, but great."

Comments: (9/17/13) - "I was passing through with 12 High Goal Polo ponies. Owners greeted us upon arrival and all stalls already had water in buckets. It was over 100 degrees that day and Tammy and David kept the water buckets filled while we slept during the day. Easy turn around for big rigs. Very clean and nice. Hotels were just a few mins from the ranch.". . . (5/10/14) - "We were traveling through with 2 minis, 2 Shetlands, and 2 horses all rescue animals. I had my hands full trying to unload but Tammy was there to greet us and helped us unload the horses and get them settled in for the night. The stalls were already bedded and the buckets were full of water. We arrived late and decided to stay in the motor home available for overnight lodging on site. It was very nice and comfortable for the 3 of us. The next morning our car would not start and the caretaker helped us get it started. We were very grateful for the assistance. Will definitely stop again!". . . (6/16/14) - "The owners were MORE than gracious! Everything was set and ready when we arrived. This is a very nice place for both you and your horses! We will stay there the next trip we take west. 100% pleased.". . . (7/21/14) - "Beautiful place, very clean and well kept. The owners took the time to walk me around their EXCA course and introduce me to a new sport that I am excited about. Very informative and GREAT hosts. I pass through OK twice a year with horses, this will be my new stop over spot from now on!". . . (7/23/14) - "An awesome place to stay; my horses loved it and they were safe and secure. Amazing animal lover and the fishing was great. Thanks. Lt Morrow."

Comments: (12/21/02) - "Beautiful farm with great horses worth a visit even if not staying overnight. Got red carpet treatment even though we called only a few hours in advance & got there late. Marty treated us like friends.". . .(8/8/03) - "We just stopped off for a rest and to let the horses stretch awhile. Dan and Marty made us feel like one of the family.". . .(9/29/03) - "Dan and Marty were most gracious and made us feel right at home. They were always willing to visit with us and help us with any needs in our travels. We look forward to staying with them on future trips.". . .(1/24/04) - "Dan and Marty are great hosts and have a great facility. We've stayed with them twice and both times were just great. A bit of a drive into Yukon for dinner or lodging but you can't ask for a better place to stable horses. Highly recommended!". . .(1/27/04) - "We really enjoyed staying with Dan and Marty! We were greeted at the front of the barn and felt like we were at home. The horses received great care. So much so that we stopped and stayed with them on our way back home also. We would definitely recommend this horse motel to anyone. ". . . (2/1/04) - "Dan & Marty Fine are truely "FINE" people. I'll be back next year for some more barrel races in OK, so my horses will most definitely be staying at their place.". . .(3/24/04) - "Marty and Dan were most gracious and helpful on the two occasions that we overnighted with them. The facilities are excellent and directions to the site were exact. They were always there and we felt secure leaving our horses and our trailer there while we stayed with relatives. They also were so helpful in giving directions and routes that shortened our trips. Overall, this facility is one of, if not the best, places we have overnighted on the road." . . . (6/22/04) - "The directions were a bit confusing but it really can be easy to get to. They could not have been more hospitable, the stalls were clean, Marty & Dan helped us turn out the horses in the round pen for some exercise before we loaded them back into the trailer. We'll be back.". . .(3/6/05) - "Dan and Marty are the best! We have stayed with them the last two years on our way to and from AZ. They are always in the driveway waiting for us and help us out in any way they can. We really appreciate the service they offer and the kindness to our horses.". . .(9/29/05) - "Marty and Dan were very nice, the facility was great and most of all, I felt comfortable leaving my horse in their care.". . .(2/27/06) - "We have stayed with Dan and Marty for three years. They are great people and the horses are well taken care of. Highly recommend them!". . .(3/27/06) - "Very friendly people who go out of their way to make you and your horses comfortable. Extremely clean facility. We will continue to stay there whenever traveling that route.". . .(11/12/07) - "This couple was more than generous to us. We were having our trailer worked on at the 4 star factory for a couple of days after coming back from Fort Worth from a horse show. They let us unload everything we had in our trailer and place it in their secure tack room while the trailer was at 4 star. We had 3 horses staying with them and by the time we arrived in the mornings to care for them Marty had them watered and had given them our hay we had left. These are WONDERFUL caring people. I highly recommend their place. It's clean, airy, safe and secure. It has very nice stalls. We kept our horses in the corral and round pen they had to offer. I prefer my horses outside when traveling and hauling. So it was nice to have that option. It's big enough for big rigs to get in and out of. And the view is wonderful.". . . (6/14/09) - "This was the cleanest barn I have ever seen; including my own! Having lost a horse to a stall accident, the safety of the stalls were paramount to me. The stalls were beautiful - secure, safe, well ventilated and clean. I had no reservations at all about leaving my lusitano stallion and gelding there. Marty and Dan also have one of the best round pens that I have seen. I was able to put my stallion in the pen, (with mares on the property), and let him stretch his legs without supervision. The Fines accommodated our late arrivals and took excellent care of the horses; checking on them, giving water etc. I would definitely use this facility again - . . . ". . . (11/29/09) - "We have stayed here repeatedly and always feel like we have a home away from home when at Dan and Marty's place. If we are gone during the day Marty will always check and fill water buckets without asking.". . . (6/19/11) - "We were on a 2,000 mile trek across the country and had 3 horses with us and the weather had severly delayed our progress. I found an old yellow pages in a truck stop and called Marty at 5:30am hoping she had a stable for our horses. Not only did she answer the phone at this ungodly hour but was very understanding and assisted us with directions to her facility. She was wonderful and we were able to stay just down the road and get some much needed rest. I cannot say enough positive things about Marty, her Grandson, and their facility. Will recommend them fully.". . . (6/5/13) - "Beautiful barn, very clean, easy to get in and turn around. Marty and her grand-daughter were so wonderful to help me, in spite of the tornado's that went through. They were wonderful! Thank you Marty, I hope I get to come back."
