Comments: "Janine went above and beyond. We had a dehydration situation, and a possible colic one night. Janine stayed up with me, and then checked the horse in the wee hours of the morning for us. Excellent care.". . ."Janine and her husband went well out of their way to make our overnight say with my 4 yr.old Tenn. Walker quite pleasant. They even showed off their new babies at the other barn and just gave us a chance to talk horses and relax. I would highly recommend that if anyone has to stay over in PA in this area, go to Engelwood." . . ."Just wanted to let you know that we had a great stay at Engelwood in Bloomsburg, PA. Comments: (7/13/04) - "Great hosts with grassy safe turnout. Room was wonderful. Safe, easy to get to and park in. Very helpful hosts! I'll stay here again.". . .(8/7/04) - "{The owners} are great hosts. I stayed with them on the way to and from New England. They extended so much help to me with my horse; even found us a place to go next. I'm really greatful. Their place is immaculate, the house and room. The barn is clean and safe and the turnout had grass and was just large enough and just small enough for my horse to be comfortable, happy, and not to get hurt. There is a nearby restaurant, the Crystal Rose, with fabulous food and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Twice it was superb! Traveling up and down the east coast with a horse in a trailer was a bit worrying as I was a total beginner at long distance travel with my horse. Pheasant Field was the nicest and most caring place we stayed. I'd recommend it highly!". . .(9/15/04) - "{The owners} helped to make this a fabulous stay for us as we were moving across country from Las Vegas, NV, to Wrightstown, NJ! We had a horse, dog, and cat...and to make things even harder, we had our family from Washington, D.C. meet us up there and they handled all of the commotion flawlessly! They really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, and to assure us that all of our critters would be safe and happy! We absolutely loved the setting and the atmosphere at their place, and only hope that our future travels would allow us to stay there again!". . .(10/5/04) - "We had a wonderful stay. . . . I had a time getting my rig in and out of the drive but the host helped me and I only took out two of her decorations. I will stay there again.". . .(1/13/06) - "We had a very warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere, a nice breakfast and our horse was very comfortable. This accommodation was over what we expected.". . .(7/17/07) - "This was our second stay at Pheasant Field. . . Dee and Chuck are extremely accommodating. They think of everything! Handy type written directions, restaurant menus, and pamphlets to nearby attractions, just to name a few. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and stocked with handy items such as hair dryers, irons, Q-tips, magazines ~ you name it! I was even able to access the internet with my laptop. Save money and time by not having to eat lunch after eating Dee's scrumptious breakfast! The accommodations for the horses were great. We specifically asked that one horse have access to the barn and paddock while the other have a paddock next to him. Chuck and Dee put a gate up to make this happen. They have a three stall barn and several nice size paddocks. . . Dee and Chuck are adept innkeepers. You won't be disappointed staying here!"
